1. Information We Collect

Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and billing details. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Website Content: Text, images, logos, and other materials you upload to create your website.

Your Visitors' Messages: When someone uses the contact form on a site built with BuildYourTradeSite, we store their name, contact details and message and pass them to that site's owner.

Usage Information: How you interact with our platform, device information, and data kept in cookies and your browser's local storage (see the Cookie Policy below).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide services, process payments, provide customer support, improve our platform, communicate with you, and meet legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that run the service for us, when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer:

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
• Stripe: payments and billing
• Vercel: hosting, and page statistics on our own pages (not on the sites you publish)
• DeepSeek: AI writing, autofill and translation. Text you send to these features is processed on DeepSeek's servers in China.
• Pexels: stock photo search
• Resend: delivery of notification and support emails

4. Data Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and database rules that limit each account to its own data.

5. Data Retention

Active Subscriptions: We retain your information as long as your account is active.

After Subscription Ends: Account data retained for 30 days, website content may be deleted immediately, billing records retained for 7 years.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or object to certain processing activities. To make a request, contact us from Account → Support.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Local storage is a similar place in your browser where a site can keep data on your device.

2. What We Use

Essential Cookies: Keep you signed in and protect your account. The service doesn't work without them.

Local Storage: Keeps a backup of the website you are editing, and your language and display preferences, on your device.

Analytics: Our own pages use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. Sites you publish carry no analytics from us.

Payments: Stripe sets its own cookies on the payment form to prevent fraud.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

3. Your Choices

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings, or use a private window. Blocking essential cookies prevents you from signing in.
